Join us at the beautiful Filoli Historic House & Garden for a serene day of learning and networking with industry peers!

Advancing small‑molecule therapeutics demands rigorous research, precise analytical methods, and thoughtful formulation strategies. This free one‑day seminar brings together scientists from across the pharmaceutical R&D and formulation landscape to explore the critical stages of small‑molecule development—from late discovery and candidate selection to process optimization and scale‑up.

Throughout the day, we will examine common scientific and operational challenges that arise along the development pathway and demonstrate how leading researchers leverage thermal analysis and biophysical characterization to overcome them. You’ll gain actionable insights into the tools, methodologies, and best practices that empower teams to make informed decisions, optimize formulation and stability, and accelerate the progression of promising candidates toward the clinic.

Featured Techniques and Applications

  • Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) for binding studies, lead optimization, and mechanistic insights
  • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) for compositional analysis, stability assessment, and thermal decomposition profiling
  • Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) for polymorph identification, purity analysis, and formulation screening
  • Sorption Analysis (SA) for assessing hygroscopicity, stability, and surface area analysis
  • Isothermal Microcalorimetry for detecting low‑level stability changes and early degradation events
  • Rheology for understanding flow, deformation, and processing behavior in complex formulations

This seminar is free to attend, and a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
