【概要】リチウムイオン電池は自動車から民生用途まで幅広く使用されている。重要部材として正極材、負極材を中心に粉体材料が多く使用されている。粉体材料は分散をはじめ様々なノウハウが必要であり、粉体としての性質を考慮し電気化学的な性能を達成する必要がある。電気化学的な性能は材料に依存することが多く、電池製造プロセスでの制御には限界がある。そこで、粉体の物性を分析でしっかりと把握&管理することが重要であり、各パラメーターが、開発から品質管理まで重要な指標となる。分析技法を紹介し、どのように電池に影響を与えるかを説明する。
